7 great Mexico City stays for your last minute trip to the WGC-Mexico

February 12, 2020

As the winter continues to be cold and rainy in NYC, I can think of nothing better than booking a last minute trip to follow the PGA tour to Mexico next week. Who is with me!? Mexico City is home to many private golf courses, like Club de Golf Chapultepec, but doesn’t have much to offer on the public front (after all, it’s the most populous city in the western hemisphere, so I’d imagine a public round would be pretty long).

Unless you have an in with a member, this trip is more about delving into the unbelievable food scene, watching the pros do their thing, and soaking up some vitamin D. In between street tacos and spectating the WGC, make time to check out some of the ancient Aztec history and renowned art museums the city is known for!

Sick Rooftop

Located in the La Roma neighborhood, this newly constructed apartment offers insane views of the city from its rooftop pool and private balcony.

Price: $170 per night

Pop Art Paradise

This stay is located just steps from the Michoacán market where you can experience authentic Mexican cuisine just like a local. I always think it’s fun to stay in a space that’s different from your own taste, and this certainly does the trick for me!

Price: $95 per night

Metropolitan Living

This stay is in the same building as the first apartment on the list, so it offers the same amazing rooftop pool/view of the city. The inside of this home feels very metropolitan with its brick wall, large artwork, and modern kitchen.

Price: $220 per night

Luxury Penthouse

This penthouse offers a unique view of the city from multiple rooms. Spend time in the outdoor garden, jacuzzi, or soak in the views from the comfort of the couch.

Price: $426 per night

Pretty Pool Deck

This pool deck is calling my name. Once again, we see a modernly decorated apartment located in a luxury building with insane city views. This is how you do CDMX right.

Price: $58 per night

Industrial Loft

This beautiful Airbnb Plus property has a perfect five star review. For less than $60 per night, you can book this industrial style home that will surely leave you feeling one with nature despite its urban location.

Price: $59 per night

Nature Home

This plant-filled apartment is an ideal stay for a quick getaway. It’s surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurants and museums, so you’ll never experience a dull moment.

Price: $51 per night
