"Eddie has a low launch angle
because his club lags slightly
behind the rest of his body at
impact. The result is a boring ball
flight, which tends to balloon over
the last 30 yards before landing
softly with little roll. We increased
the club's loft by 2.5º. This raised
Eddie's launch angle by 4º and ball
speed by 6 mph, which gave him 12
extra yards of carry. Finally, Eddie's
standard-length shaft was too short
for his 6'5" frame. The extra inch on
his new driver lets him stand more
upright for more stability."

Know your limis:
The notion that all low-handicappers should use a
low-lofted driver is hogwash. Players in search of a higher launch angle
and less spin can benefit from a driver with as much as 13º or 14º loft.
