Mark Barber, fitting coordinator, Bridgestone

"Using lie tape and a lie board, I determined that Phil's current clubs are too upright. The heel-side makes contact before the toe, which causes him to pull shots left. So I bent the Bridgestone J33 Combos to 1º flat (2 degrees flatter than his current irons). The new clubs significantly improve Phil's contact conditions, increasing ball speed and backspin, while limiting his pull and getting his ball flight down to a more manageable level."

Know your limits:
Missing your target may not always be the result of a faulty swing. A quick lie angle adjustment could improve accuracy without tweaking your swing.
