A look back at the season of crowning Phil, hidden Tiger
All the stars got theirs in 2004. Phil Mickelson got his first major, Retief Goosen got validation with his second, Annika Sorenstam got her 50th LPGA Tour win, Team USA got Euro-thrashed at the Ryder Cup and Tiger Woods got married. Woods and his blond bride sunned in the Caribbean after their October wedding, but for Tiger the honeymoon was already over. A month earlier, Vijay Singh surpassed him in the world rankings, ending Tiger's five-year reign. Soon after, Ernie Els knocked Woods down to No. 3. And then there were the bees...
