March 2007 ADD LOFT

Your spine should tilt away from the target and your head should be positioned behind the ball. Both things help give you the loft you need.

NO LEGS NEEDED

This is basically an arm swing—your lower body should remain as still as possible.

DRIVE TIME

You should use a lot of arm speed to drive the club into the bank and get the ball into the air quickly, but it's also important to followthrough after the shot.

HANDS TO THE LEFT

This shot requires a very weak grip to keep the clubface open.

PLAY "BASE" BALL

Awide base stance will stabilize your body and allow you to get the club down into the sand behind the ball.
